Black Light was founded by two business leaders with very different backgrounds and a shared connection to the outdoor industry.

Together, Nathan and Kurt bring decades of experience spanning executive leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, retail and business development—and remain directly involved in the strategy and relationships behind Black Light's work.

Founder & Managing Partner

Nathan brings nearly three decades of business and leadership experience to Black Light, including serving as a Fortune 500 Vice President. He works directly with clients on marketing strategy, business development and growth, with a particular focus on social media and digital campaigns.

An Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC®), former U.S. Marine and lifelong outdoorsman, Nathan combines executive-level business experience with a strong understanding of the outdoor industry.

KURT

Founder & Managing Partner

Kurt brings more than 25 years of outdoor-industry experience to Black Light, with deep relationships across retailers, dealers, sales representatives and rep groups. He works directly with clients on sales-channel development, dealer relationships, retail opportunities and business growth.

An Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC®), entrepreneur and expert outdoorsman, Kurt has also started, built and successfully sold multiple outdoor-focused businesses.

Operations Leader, SHRM®

Operations • Organizational Support • Internal Strategy

Tegan leads operations for Black Light, helping manage the processes, coordination and organizational needs that support our team and client relationships. While primarily working behind the scenes, she is regularly consulted on client needs and helps ensure Black Light has the internal structure and support necessary to execute effectively.

Drew supports Black Light clients across sales, trade shows, social media and other marketing initiatives. With a strong connection to the outdoor industry, he helps represent client brands in the field while also supporting the day-to-day execution of sales and marketing efforts.

Josh is the founder of On Stand Society (OSS), Black Light’s production partner for professional photography, videography and commercial content. He works alongside our team to create compelling visual content for advertising, social media, product launches and broader client marketing initiatives.

Kyle is a managing partner of On Stand Society and a specialized resource within Black Light’s extended team. A professional accountant with extensive Shopify knowledge, Kyle is regularly consulted on client needs involving e-commerce, financial considerations and broader business initiatives.
